Samsung fans' love affair with the physical rotating bezel on the Galaxy Watch is very well known. They were understandably disappointed that last year's Galaxy Watch 5 series ditched the physical bezel in favor of the digital alternative.
The Galaxy Watch 6 series is due to be launched later this year and if a new report is to be believed, Samsung is bringing back the much-loved physical rotating bezel, but only for the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro.
Galaxy Watch 6 Pro to come in two sizes this time
The Galaxy Watch 5 came in a “Pro” model last year. It had a chunky battery and additional features meant for those with an active lifestyle. We've already seen reports that the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro will retain the focus on great battery life.
Korean tipster @SuperRoader, who has been right on several occasions in the past, has revealed that Samsung is bringing back the physical rotating bezel this year. It will only be available on the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro, so if you're planning on getting the base Galaxy Watch 6, you'll have to make do with the digital bezel.
Samsung offered the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro in just one 45mm size last year and that's also reportedly changing. The Galaxy Watch 6 Pro will apparently be available in two sizes, so this might be the year we get a smaller version of the Pro watch, a welcome change for many customers who don't prefer buying very large watches.
It's unclear at this point in time when Samsung intends to launch the Galaxy Watch 6 series but we can expect it to arrive in the second half of this year, possibly alongside the new foldable smartphones.
