We all know that when it comes to foldable phones, there is no other reliable brand other than Samsung, at this point in time. This is the reason why whenever someone thinks of buying a foldable or flip phone, they opt for the Galaxy Z Fold or the Galaxy Z Flip series respectively. However, Samsung's rival brands like OPPO, Vivo, and now Huawei are set to introduce new foldables.
Huawei, in particular, is all set to launch its foldable phone to take on the Galaxy Z Fold series. That's not it. Huawei's Mate X3 will be the first foldable in the world to launch with satellite connectivity. This feature isn't available, as of now, on any Samsung smartphone, let alone foldables.
Satellite connectivity technology has been officially confirmed for Huawei Mate X3
The Chinese smartphone giant has shared a poster of the smartphone's launch, which is due on March 23 in China. Though the phone does not show the Huawei Mate X3, the text written on it (when translated) suggests that the new foldable, i.e., the Huawei Mate X3, will be thinner, lighter, and more durable.
The best part is that Huawei themselves have officially confirmed that the Huawei Mate X3 will come with satellite connectivity. The Mate X3 will come with a traditional inward-folding design like the Galaxy Z Fold series phones from Samsung. As for the specifications of the phone, they remain a mystery. That said, the company has adopted a new graphene-based heat dissipation technology on its Huawei Mate X3 to reduce the thickness of the phone.
Since Huawei phones are sold in China, nothing has gone wrong for Samsung, at least for the moment. If satellite connectivity is the next big thing, then there is a good amount of time for the South Korean giant to implement it on its next foldable, which would be the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
