The newest version of WhatsApp for Windows claims to load much faster than the previous version. It also has a new UI design that's similar to the smartphone version of WhatsApp. The new app also allows group video calls with up to eight persons. It also supports group audio calls with up to 32 participants. The Meta-owned instant messaging platform said that it would continue to increase that limit in the future.
WhatsApp for Windows now supports full end-to-end encryption for calls and messages, similar to the company's Android, iOS, and macOS apps. The company said in its blog post that the app now supports faster app data syncing and device linking. The new app for Windows now also supports link previews and stickers.
