Latest Samsung Internet beta Update is aimed at tablet users

Samsung is making the Internet browsing experience better for Galaxy tablet users. As recently confirmed by the Product Manager of Samsung Internet, the default browser on Galaxy tablets is finally catching up with Galaxy phones in some areas.

While Samsung Internet users on Galaxy phones have had the option to move the URL bar to the bottom of the browser for easier reach and improved usability, this feature was oddly limited to phones.

Now, with the recent release of Samsung Internet Beta version 21.0, this option to move the URL bar to the bottom of the browser is coming to tablets. Users can also move the tab bar to the bottom of the browser.

Also making much-needed changes to tab management

In addition to the added convenience of a movable bookmark and tab bar, Samsung Internet Beta 21.0 makes some changes to tab management.

Samsung Internet version 20.0 has a limit of 99 tabs that can be opened at the same time. And once that limit is exceeded, the oldest tab is automatically closed to make room for a new one.

This can be an issue for Samsung Internet users that need to keep dozens of tabs open. Unless they manually track them, users risk closing down older tabs when they unknowingly reach the limit of 99. Thankfully, Samsung Internet Beta version 21.0 makes things easier.

With Samsung Internet Beta 21.0, users are now warned when they get closer to the 99-tab limit. Even better, the browser now allows them to reopen the oldest tab closed.

The latest beta version of Samsung Internet is now available for download from the Galaxy Store and the Play Store.

Although Samsung Internet is no longer exclusive to Galaxy devices, the Android tablet market is kept relevant by Galaxy tablets, for the most part. As a result, the people that will benefit the most from this new Beta update are Galaxy tablet users.
