Samsung usually offers free memory upgrades for Galaxy phones during pre-order periods. A free memory upgrade is one of the common pre-order incentives Samsung has in store year after year, and it's a pretty fantastic deal. But once that pre-purchase period ends, we rarely see this deal returning before a new generation of devices gets announced and becomes available for pre-order. And because of that, Samsung's latest offer on the Galaxy S23 Ultra in the USA is somewhat unexpected.
Through its latest promotional campaign, Samsung is offering a free memory upgrade to 512GB for the Lime Green Galaxy S23 Ultra. The offer is valid regardless of whether you choose to trade in an older phone or buy the S23 Ultra at full price. As usual, you can save up to $750 on the 512GB Galaxy S23 Ultra through the trade-in program.
Free memory upgrades are not that common
Sans trading in another phone, you can now save $180 on the Galaxy S23 Ultra in Lime Green. Or, more precisely, you can buy the unlocked 512GB variant by paying 256GB money, i.e., $1,199. Again, you'll have to pick the Lime Green color option to benefit from this memory upgrade, which is a relatively rare online-exclusive color. It features a silver frame and a black S Pen with a clicker that matches the frame's color.
Although we found this discount on Samsung's e-shop in the USA, it wouldn't hurt to check your local Samsung online store if you're buying from another country. Samsung may be offering a free memory upgrade for the Lime Green Galaxy S23 Ultra in other markets outside the United States.
As to whether or not the Galaxy S23 Ultra is worth it, we believe it does if you're looking for a premium Samsung phone with a built-in S Pen, a 200MP camera with 8K video recording that's actually usable, and excellent zoom range.
