Samsung has faced criticism after it used AI to enhance images of the moon. While some people call it fake, others say it isn't actually fake, and there is no end to this controversy. However, a Chinese smartphone brand has been inspired by Samsung Galaxy phones' ability to capture decent images of the moon.

Realme, a subsidiary of OPPO, is planning to launch a new premium mid-range smartphone, the Realme 11 Pro+. The device is expected to launch in May 2023, and the company has started teasing the features and design of the smartphone. The company's marketing direction shared on Weibo that Realme 11 Pro+ has a dedicated Moon Mode in its camera app. Since the smartphone doesn't seem to have a dedicated telephoto camera, it is interesting to see how the company manages to capture clear images of the moon.

Realme could use Samsung's 200MP camera sensor and AI enhancements

The Realme 11 Pro+ has a 200MP ISOCELL camera sensor from Samsung. If it doesn't have a dedicated telephoto camera, the company could be heavily cropping and digitally zooming from the 200MP primary camera sensor to use in the Moon Mode. It could also be using AI enhancements in the process.

Other features of the smartphone include a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Dimensity 7000 processor, up to 16GB RAM, up to 1TB storage, an in-display fingerprint reader, a 16MP front-facing camera, Android 13, a 5,000mAh battery, and 100W fast charging.
