Samsung continues to amaze us with its overly zealous pursuit of releasing new security updates for Galaxy smartphones on a regular basis, and in many cases, way ahead of schedule. In the latest instance, Samsung has released a new update for the Galaxy A10e that brings the May 2023 security patch almost a week before April comes to a close.
The latest Galaxy A10e update seems to have been released on Monday this week (May 24) – it is available for the phone's Korean variants at this time, includes the May security patch, and sports firmware version A102NKOS3CWD1.
The update should be available for download over the air from the phone's Settings » Software update menu for all Galaxy A10e users in Korea. We also have the relevant firmware, which you can use to manually upgrade your phone using a Windows PC, available in our firmware archive.
Latest Galaxy A10e update brings only security fixes
As for what's new in this update, it should come as no surprise that it only brings new security fixes. The Galaxy A10e is nearly three years old and past the eligibility date for getting new features or improvements. In fact, that it is even getting updates to this date is impressive and an example of Samsung's dedication to after-sales software support.
The details on the May 2023 security patch are also currently unavailable, and we can expect more Galaxy devices to get the May security update before the contents of the patch are revealed.
