Samsung’s flagship smartphones—Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series—are arguably the most popular high-end Android phones globally. And there are plenty of accessories available for these devices. When it comes to cases especially, there are tons of options to choose from, and we regularly come across cases with unique designs. However, a new case for the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Galaxy S23 Ultra that we are talking about today, is something we’ve never seen before for any Samsung flagship.

Arc, a company based out of the Netherlands, has launched the Pulse case for the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Unlike traditional cases, this one comes in two parts that attach to your device independently of each other. The first piece covers the upper portion and rear cameras, whereas the other one covers the bottom portion of these phones. The rest of the area of these devices is kept exposed. In fact, the amount of surface area that the Arc Pulse covers is so little that calling it even a bumper case seems like a stretch.

Arc Pulse cases for Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy S23 Ultra: Made using machined aluminum

These two pieces are made out of “CNC-machined aerospace grade metals” and feature “custom-engineered shock absorption with Arc Impact”. Thanks to high-quality materials and a unique design approach, the case looks very premium and minimalistic, at least in photos. The Arc Pulse seems to be an excellent option for people who want to protect their Galaxy S22 Ultra or Galaxy S23 Ultra from accidental drops without adding too much bulk. This case will also appeal to people who prefer cases that expose the phone’s design.

The Arc Pulse is available in three finishes: Aluminium Matte Black, Aluminium Mirror Polish Silver, and Aluminium Mirror Polish Gold. The price of this case, however, is a real shocker. The Arc Pulse starts at $59 for the Matte Black variant and goes up to a whopping $119 for the Mirror Polish Gold option. The Mirror Polish Silver sits in between with a price tag of $89. The Arc Pulse is currently available for pre-order in Canada and the US, and the company will start shipping it between June 12 and June 16, 2023.

It’s also worth mentioning that Arc Pulse is the only product that the company sells, and up until now, this case was available only for iPhones. The Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Galaxy S23 Ultra are the first non-Apple smartphones for which Arc is offering a case. Although the Arc Pulse is very costly, we're glad that users now have more options to choose from.
