Earlier this month, Samsung released the May 2023 security update to the Galaxy Note 10 series in South Korea. Last week, the update was released to carrier-locked Galaxy Note 10 units in the US. Now, the company has released the new security update to the unlocked Galaxy Note 10 devices in the US and Latin America.
The latest software update for unlocked Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ devices comes with firmware version N97xUSQU7HWE1 in the US. In Latin American countries, the Galaxy Note 10 series is getting the update with firmware version N97xFXXS8HWE6. These countries include Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad & Tobago, and Uruguay.
Galaxy Note 10 May 2023 security update: How to install it?
The May 2023 security update included in the new software fixes over 70 security flaws found in Galaxy Note 10 series phones. It doesn't bring any other bug fixes or new features. If you have a Galaxy Note 10 series device in the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 10 series in late 2019 with Android 9 onboard. The devices in the lineup received the Android 10 update in early 2020. The South Korean firm released the Android 11 update in late 2020 and the Android 12 update in late 2021. The phones won't get the Android 13 update.
