Samsung started rolling out a new Bixby update to enhance two primary features and smarten the voice assistant. The new Bixby update, version 3.3.15.18, weighs a little under 63MB.
The company says that you can now do more with Bixby. Thanks to this new update, when talking to Bixby, the voice assistant can recommend useful settings related to a wider range of commands.
In addition to making the assistant more responsive, Samsung also tweaked some options for child accounts — a feature that the company released earlier this year. Now, with Bixby version 3.3.15.18, child account users can request verification from parents when they want to access Bixby services and require additional third-party sharing permissions.
The child accounts feature in Bixby is supported in the USA and South Korea, but Samsung reminds everyone through the latest update changelog that it will add more countries gradually.
And last but not least, Bixby version 3.3.15.18 now allows users to activate voice wake-up when a ringtone, alarm, or Bixby TTS (Text-To-Speech) is playing, even when the “Wake up when sound is playing” option is disabled. This feature can be enabled from the Bixby Settings menu under “Voice wake-up” by turning on the “Wake up when media is playing” option.
