Android 14 (One UI 6.0) release date for Samsung devices tipped

Google revealed Android 14 earlier this year, and the new OS brings some exciting new features. So far, the company has rolled out three beta versions of the OS, and it is expected to release the stable version of Android 14 in August 2023. Brands including Nothing, OnePlus, Oppo, and Vivo have already released Android 14 in the Developer Beta form to some of their devices.

Samsung, however, is yet to roll out Android 14 (One UI 6.0) to its devices. If a news tip is to be believed, Android 14 Beta will arrive on Samsung phones next month.

One UI 6.0 Beta update could be released in July 2023, starting with Galaxy S23

According to tipster Dohyun Kim, Samsung will release the beta version of Android 14 (One UI 6.0) to its smartphones in mid-July. That means it will arrive right before the release of the stable version of Android 14 from Google. Previously too, the tech giant had kicked off beta programs for a new version of Android a couple of days before the final release of the OS. So, the latest tip seems believable. There is, however, more to the story.

Reportedly, the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 Beta update will first arrive on the Galaxy S23 series first and then trickle down to other devices. The tipster also claims that the stable version of Android 14-based One UI 6.0 will come in October 2023. It will first land on flagship smartphones (Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4) and then become available for more affordable devices from the company.

Although Samsung takes its own sweet time to release a beta version of Android to its smartphones/tablets, the firmware is typically far more stable compared to those offered by other brands to their devices. Plus, it comes with a new version of the One UI customization that offers many new features over the previous skin, which makes the wait worth something.

We hope that Samsung will offer Android 14 to mid-range and low-end offerings as fast as it rolls out Android 13 (One UI 5.0) to those devices.

One UI 7 needs to bring order to this chaotic feature

Throughout the Samsung fan community, the most polarizing One UI element this year might be the quick panel. Samsung redesigned it with the release of One UI 6.0, and while I don't have a gripe with the new layout, I can see why some people dislike it, as it makes it a bit harder to […]
