Samsung has released its new security update to two premium mid-range smartphones: Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A Quantum. The Galaxy A71 is getting the June 2023 security update in Europe, while its more secure cousin, the Galaxy A Quantum, is getting the latest security update in Samsung's home country.
Galaxy A71, Galaxy A Quantum June 2023 security update: What's new?
The latest software update for the Galaxy A71 comes with firmware A715FXXUADWE1, and it is available in Poland right now. The Galaxy A Quantum is getting the new update with firmware version A716SKSU6FWF2 in South Korea. Both phones get the June 2023 security patch with their new updates, and it brings fixes for over 50 security flaws found in Galaxy phones and tablets. The updates don't bring any new features or performance improvements to these devices.
If you have a Galaxy A71 in Europe or a Galaxy A Quantum in South Korea, you can now check for the new update. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. However, you need a Windows PC and Samsung's Odin software to perform the process.
Samsung debuted the Galaxy A71 in early 2019 with Android 10 onboard, and it released the Android 11 update in early 2020, the Android 12 update in late 2021, and the Android 13 update in late 2022. The Galaxy A Quantum was launched in early 2020 with Android 10 onboard. The phone received the Android 11 update in early 2021, the Android 12 update in early 2022, and the Android 13 update earlier this year.
