We're nearing the end of June, and even though the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro received a firmware update only a couple of weeks ago, Samsung is now rolling out another. The wireless earbuds are getting a second June update.
Samsung is releasing this new update in South Korea, although the earbuds might get the same treatment in additional regions. If you own the Buds 2 Pro, make sure to check for new updates through the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected mobile device.
The latest update has firmware version R510XXU0AWF4, and the changelog isn't as feature-rich as this month's first release. According to the official documentation, Samsung applied “stabilization code.” In theory, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro should now function more reliably.
It's unclear if the new update fixes issues that may have snuck past Samsung when it rolled out the first June firmware or if this update addresses issues that already were present before June. The previous update released earlier this month carried firmware version R510XXU0AWF3. It brought with it significant upgrades to Ambient Sound and the audio volume interface.
To check for new Galaxy Buds 2 Pro firmware updates manually, open the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected phone or tablet, select the earbuds, go to “Earbuds Settings,” and then tap “Earbuds software update.”
