Galaxy S22 July 2023 security update: What's new?
The latest software update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with firmware version S90xBXXS6CWF6. The update is currently available in Europe. It has a download size of around 305MB, and it brings the July 2023 security patch that fixes several security flaws found in Galaxy phones and tablets. It doesn't seem to bring any new features or performance improvements.
If you have a Galaxy S22 series phone and if you live in a European country, you can check for the new update. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows PC and the Odin tool.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 series in early 2022 with Android 12 onboard. The devices in the series received the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update in late 2022 and the One UI 5.1 update in early 2023. The phones in the lineup will get three more Android OS updates, starting with Android 14 later this year.
