Yesterday, Samsung released the July 2023 security update to the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S23. Today, the company has expanded the availability of the new security update to the Galaxy A53 5G.
The new update is rolling out in some Latin American countries and could expand to more regions soon.
Galaxy A53 July 2023 security update: What's new?
The latest Galaxy A53 5G software update comes with firmware version A536EXXS7CWF6. It can be downloaded in Bolivia and Panama, and we expect it to go live in more Latin American countries soon. The update includes the July 2023 security patch that fixes various security flaws found in previous versions of One UI on Galaxy phones and tablets. The update doesn't bring any new features or performance enhancements.
If you have a Galaxy A53 5G and live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update immediately. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A53 5G in early 2022 with Android 12 onboard. The device received the Android 13 update in late 2022 and the One UI 5.1 update earlier this year. It is scheduled to get the Android 14-based One UI 6 update later this year.
