After the Galaxy A53, Galaxy S22, and Galaxy S23, it's now Galaxy Note 10's turn to get Samsung's newest security update. The Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10+ have started getting the July 2023 security update in Europe, and we expect it to expand to more countries and regions soon.
Galaxy Note 10 gets July 2023 security update, starting with Europe
The newest software update for the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10+ comes with firmware version N97xFXXS8HWF3 in Switzerland. The Galaxy Note 10+ 5G is also getting the new security update in the country, bearing firmware version N976BXXS8HWF3. The update brings the July 2023 security patch that fixes dozens of security flaws found in the previous version of the software for these phones. It is only a security update, so don't expect to see new changes, features, or performance improvements.
If you live in Switzerland and own a Galaxy Note 10 or Galaxy Note 10+, you can now check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and then flash it manually using a Windows computer and the Odin tool.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 10 series in mid-2019 with Android 9 onboard. It received the Android 10 update in early 2020 and the Android 11 update in early 2021. The phones received the Android 12 update in late 2021, and it was the last major Android update for the Galaxy Note 10 series.
