Earlier this month, Samsung released the July 2023 security update to the Galaxy S22 series. However, the update has only been available in Europe and the US. Now, the South Korean firm has released the new security update to the Galaxy S22 series in more regions, including Latin American countries.
July 2023 security update is now available for Galaxy S22 series in Latin America
The new update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra bears firmware version S90xEXXS6CWF6. It is available in Argentina, Bolivia, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Trinidad And Tobago. The update is yet to be released in several other African and Asian countries.
The new update brings the July 2023 security patch that fixes over 90 security flaws found in the previous version of the software. Since this is a minor, security-related update, don't expect it to bring any new features or performance improvements. If you have a Galaxy S22 series phone in any of the countries mentioned above, you can now install the update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 with Android 12 onboard and a promise of four major Android OS updates. Late last year, the phones received the Android 13 update, and they will get the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update in a few months from now.
