Recent rumors say that the Galaxy Tab S series may experience a price increase this year. By some accounts, the upcoming Tab S9 lineup could cost up to €200 more than the Tab S8 did at launch. But regardless of how it turns out, Samsung might also be planning to offer better pre-order goodies.
According to @rquandt, customers who order the Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+, or Tab S9 Ultra from July 26 to August 10 get a free Ultra Slim Keyboard Cover. It's usually the cheapest official keyboard cover for the Galaxy Tab S series, and you can get one for the Tab S7 or Tab S8 for $139.
It's a good start but it's not going to help everyone
A keyboard cover is a must-have accessory if you want to use your tablet like a laptop through Samsung DeX. And including one for free is something we wish Samsung could do all the time. (Or at least reduce their prices).
However, this included Slim Keyboard Cover sounds more like a pre-order incentive and not a permanent change for the Tab S lineup. The offer stands until August 10. The Slim Keyboard Cover won't be an official part of the out-of-the-box Galaxy Tab S9 experience forever. And the deal won't be available in every market.
Samsung is also trying to attract prospective buyers by letting them save money if they act fast. More accurately, they can earn $50 in Samsung Credit if they pre-register online now and buy one of the upcoming devices once they're official at Galaxy Unpacked.
Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Tab S9 series on July 26. This year, the launch event takes place in Korea, but as always, people everywhere can watch the official live presentation online.
