Google is usually quite slow in improving Android Auto. Over the past few years, it has introduced a major change just once, and it brought a widget-based layout for the home screen. Now, the company is rolling out a new update to Android Auto that brings an improved design for Google Assistant.

Google has released v10.0 (via 9To5Google) of the Android Auto app for Android-based smartphones. It brings a new design to Google Assistant, offering a glowing design with signature Google colors when you use the voice assistant for voice commands. This design was earlier exclusive to Pixel phones when the Pixel 4 series was launched. However, in the past couple of years, it has been released to all phones and tablets running Android. And now it has made it to Android Auto as well.

Android Auto Google Assistant Prompt Design Glow

In the previous version of Android Auto, Google Assistant appeared on the bottom left corner of the screen, while the voice command logo and the command text appeared in the form of text in a grey-colored prompt above the bottom bar. Now, the Google Assistant log has been moved beside the All Apps button. The voice command text appears in a pop-up prompt on the bottom, just above the taskbar.

Google has changed the look of voice commands in Android Auto multiple times, but the new change looks the most satisfying and logical. If you have received the Android Auto v10.0 update on your Samsung smartphone, you can check out the new Google Assistant appearance when you're in your car the next time.

Google to follow Samsung’s lead by using custom chips for smartwatches

Qualcomm was way too slow in bringing advanced chips for smartwatches, and that is when Apple took a huge leap forward. Samsung didn't depend on Qualcomm and developed in-house Exynos chips for Galaxy Watches. While Google switched from Exynos to Snapdragon chips for second and third-generation Pixel Watches, it could switch to in-house chips in […]

Android 16 could copy Apple’s Dynamic Island notifications
