Samsung has released the July 2023 security update to the Galaxy A52 and the Galaxy A52 5G. Both variants of the phones are now getting the new security update in several countries across Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
The new software update for the Galaxy A52 comes bearing firmware version A525FXXS6DWG1. The phone is getting this new update in most Asian and European countries. The Galaxy A52 5G, on the other hand, is getting the new security update with firmware version A526BXXS4EWG3 in Brazil. More Latin American countries are expected to get the July 2023 security update within a matter of days.
Galaxy A52 July 2023 security update: What's new?
The July 2023 security patch included in the new software fixes over 90 security flaws found in the previous version of the software running on the Galaxy A52 and the Galaxy A52 5G. The new update doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements. If you have a Galaxy A52 or a Galaxy A52 5G in the regions mentioned above, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.
You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually if you're familiar with the firmware flashing process.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A52 and the Galaxy A52 5G in early 2021 with Android 11 onboard. The phones were promised three major Android OS updates, and they received the Android 12 update in late 2021 and the Android 13 update in late 2022. Samsung is already testing the Android 14 update on these phones, and it may arrive later this year.
