Alongside two new foldable phones and three new high-end tablets, Samsung unveiled its latest Galaxy Watch 6 series today at Unpacked in Seoul. It consists of the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, and yes, the physical rotating bezel is back after missing from the Watch 5 series released last year. Here's what the new Watches cost and when you can buy one.

The Galaxy Watch 6 series is now available for pre-order and will go on sale on August 11. In select markets, customers who take advantage of the pre-order window can claim a Google Play Voucher worth £50. They can use this voucher to purchase mobile apps and other digital products.

Two new smartwatches, different sizes and prices

The Galaxy Watch 6 series is split between the standard and Classic models, and they're available in two sizes with different connectivity options, i.e., Bluetooth and LTE.

The standard Galaxy Watch 6 is available in 40mm and 44mm flavors, whereas the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is available in 43mm and 47mm sizes. Each is available with Bluetooth (and Wi-Fi) connectivity or LTE.

Samsung's entry-level model, i.e., the 40mm Bluetooth-only Galaxy Watch 6, costs $299/£289. The 40mm LTE variant costs $349/£339. Meanwhile, the 44mm Bluetooth and LTE variants will set you back $329/£319 and $379/£369, respectively.

As for the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, the 43mm Bluetooth and LTE variants cost $399/£369 and $449/£429, respectively, whereas the 47mm Classic watch costs $429/£399 (Bluetooth) and $479/£459 (LTE).

Is the Galaxy Watch 6 more expensive than the Watch 5?

For a quick comparison, the Bluetooth Galaxy Watch 5 (40mm/44mm) went on sale last year for $279/£269 and $299/£289, while the LTE variants were priced at $329/£319 and $349/£339. As such, the standard Galaxy Watch 6 is slightly more expensive than the 2022 model.

However, you can buy the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic for a lower price than the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. The Wi-Fi and LTE Galaxy Watch 5 Pro variants went on sale for $449/£429 and $499/£479, respectively, so the Pro model remains the most expensive non-special edition Samsung smartwatch at the time of release.
