Samsung makes a lot of first-party accessories for its smartphones, tablets, and wearables. Earlier this year, the South Korean firm released a new kind of case for the Galaxy S23 series, and it's called the Clear Gadget Case. It allows users to add several attachments to the phone, and it is now available for the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
Similar to the Galaxy S23, the Clear Gadget Case is transparent and comes with an attachment mechanism at the back. You can attach several accessories (which Samsung calls Gadgets) to this attachment, including a ring, a tripod, or a wallet. The South Korean tech giant is slowly creating an entire ecosystem of products that attach to its new case, something similar to Apple's MagSafe.
Galaxy Z Flip 5's Clear Gadget Case isn't easy if you want wireless charging
However, to allow the Galaxy Z Flip 5 to wirelessly charge while using the Clear Gadget Case, you have to remove the attachment and the cover that comes with the case. Since it takes a few seconds to remove the accessory from the phone, it can seem a bit frustrating to repeat it every time. To remove an accessory, rotate it 45 degrees to unlock it and then slide it out of the groove.
It is a neat little case that's useful for some people. Right now, it is unclear if the wallet and tripod accessories that were released for the Galaxy S23 will work with the Galaxy Z Flip 5. However, we think they will be compatible with each other. You can look at the official video below to see how accessories can be attached to and detached from the Clear Gadget Case.
