Samsung released the first Android 14-based One UI 6.0 beta update to the Galaxy S23 series two weeks ago. Since it is the first One UI 6.0 beta update, it has many bugs and issues. It also has problems with animations and transitions, which will reportedly be fixed with the next beta update.
One UI 6.0 Beta 2 update could bring smoother animations
According to reliable tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), the second One UI 6.0 beta update will bring excellent animations. If the claim turns out to be accurate and Samsung truly delivers on that front, it would make many Samsung users happy. The second One UI 6.0 beta update is expected to be released later this week or sometime next week. The company could release the stable One UI 6.0 update to its high-end phones in Q4 of 2023 after it releases at least five beta versions of the software.
One UI 6.0 introduced a major change to the design of the Quick Settings area. Quick Setting toggles are now grouped in a box. Screen-related settings, including the brightness slider, Dark Mode, and Eye Comfort Shield, are grouped separately. There is also an option to open the Quick Settings area directly by swiping down from the top right side of the screen.
Samsung also introduced new lock screen clock font, size, and placement options. One UI 6.0 also features a new media player widget design with animations for the progress bar, the ability to sort notifications by time, a new design for notifications, a new font, and the ability to hide apps open in the pop-up window. There is a new Weather widget, an improved Weather app, a new Camera app design, and a Custom Camera widget.
