Several rumors over the past year have claimed that Samsung is working on a smart ring that can track your activities, health metrics, and sleep. It looks like the company could be getting closer to the launch of its first smart ring, and it has trademarked several names that could be used in its smart ring.

Yesterday, it was found that Samsung recently trademarked the term Curio. Today, GalaxyClub is reporting that the South Korean firm has trademarked several names that could be related to a smart ring. Those names include Galaxy Feel and Galaxy Glia. These names now join the list of several other trademarks, including Circle. Galaxy Ring, Galaxy One, Index, Insight, Pulse, and Rhythm. All of them could be related to Samsung's smart ring products or their features.

Samsung has applied for trademarks for these terms in Australia, Norway, South Korea, and the UK. From the descriptions of these trademarks, it looks like they are features related to the apps that are associated with a smart ring from Samsung. To be specific, the company has mentioned this in its trademark documents: “Smart rings; Downloadable software application for smart rings for tracking, gathering, monitoring, detecting, recognizing, storing, transmitting, managing and assessing biometric and physiological data, vital signs and personal health records, and for providing medical advice.

The most logical name for Samsung's first smart ring would be the Galaxy Ring, and of course, the company has a trademark applied for that term. In total, Samsung has applied for the trademark of ten such terms, and it isn't expected that the South Korean firm would launch a smart ring before the first half of 2024.
