Two months ago, we were able to confirm that, internally, Samsung is using the “Muse” codename when referring to the upcoming Galaxy S24 series. But interestingly enough, Samsung appears to have changed its tune, and now, it's using a different codename for the flagship series.
Internally, Samsung has replaced the “Muse” label with “Eureka” when describing the Galaxy S24 trio, as discovered by our friends at Galaxy Club. The Muse codename was attached to earlier prototypes, but as work on the flagships continued, Samsung may have settled on a final design and changed the codename to reflect that.

Did Samsung have a eureka moment?
Samsung used the Muse codename when developing earlier prototypes of the Galaxy S24 series, suggesting that the company was looking for inspiration and the right answer to the problem of what a Galaxy S23 sequel should deliver. The new codename, however, indicates that Samsung may have found what it was looking for, or in other words, it may have had a eureka moment.
“Eureka” comes from Ancient Greek and means “I have found (it).” It's an interjection used to celebrate a discovery or an invention. It is attributed to the Greek scholar Archimedes, who supposedly shouted “Eureka!” after discovering Archimedes' principle, the latter of which is a law of physics fundamental to fluid mechanics.
Samsung's development team may have experienced a eureka moment when looking for inspiration for the Galaxy S24 series through early prototypes. The engineers may have had a breakthrough when developing the phones internally, prompting the company to assign a new codename. Exactly what Samsung may have discovered, if that, is unknown.
But speaking of the series as a whole, our colleagues tell us that Samsung is now referring to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra as Eureka1 (E1), Eureka2 (E2), and Eureka3 (E3), respectively. Samsung should unveil the trio in early 2024, supposedly in January or February, but official launch details are missing.
