Samsung launched the 292-inch The Wall Luxury 8K TV in 2019 and The Wall 110-inch Micro LED TV in 2020. Since then, it has had no direct rival. That's because no other brand has launched a Micro LED TV of similar size in these many years. Well, that's changing now. LG has unveiled a 118-inch MAGNIT Micro LED 4K TV at the CEDIA Expo 2023.

The new 118-inch LG MAGNIT is now the closest competitor to Samsung The Wall 110-inch.

LG MAGNIT 118-inch features

The 118-inch LG MAGNIT 4K Micro LED TV is a toned-down version of the 136-inch LG MAGNIT TV launched last year. As the name suggests, the latest TV features a 118-inch Micro LED panel with 4K resolution. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate, 250-nit brightness, and HDR10 and HDR10 Pro support. LG's Alpha 9 processor powers the TV and runs the company's WebOS platform. Additional features include AirPlay 2 and Miracast integration and two 50-watt speakers.

As you might imagine, the 118-inch LG MAGNIT costs a fortune. It comes with a price tag of $237,000. That means it is much more costlier than Samsung The Wall 110-inch, priced at $149,999 in the US. The company hasn't revealed the availability of the TV yet.

LG OLED M3 announced

Along with the 118-inch MAGNIT, LG has also introduced a new OLED TV lineup, and it's called the LG OLED M3 (and LG Signature OLED M). This TV comes in three sizes: 77-inch, 83-inch, and 97-inch. All the LG OLED M3 variants have a 4K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with LG's Zero Connect box, which wirelessly transmits audio and video to the TV, eliminating the need to run cables to the TV directly.

According to LG, the OLED M3 is the “world's first consumer TV with a wireless connectivity solution capable of real-time video and audio transmission at up to 4K 120Hz.” LG is yet to announce the pricing and the availability of the OLED M3 lineup.
