Samsung has released the September 2023 security update to even more mid-range phones. The Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52 5G, and Galaxy A72 have now started getting new security updates in some Asian and Latin American countries.
The Galaxy A52 is getting the September 2023 security update with firmware version A525FXXU6DWH2 in Russia. The Galaxy A52 5G is getting the update with firmware version A526BXXS5EWI1 in Brazil, Colombia, and Dominican Republic. The firmware version for the Galaxy A72 is A725FXXU6DWH2, and it is available in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine.
If you have the Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52 5G, or Galaxy A72 in the respective countries mentioned above, you can download the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download these firmware files from our firmware database and flash them manually.
The Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52 5G, and the Galaxy A72 debuted with Android 11 pre-installed. The phones have received two major Android OS updates over the years, and will get the Android 14 update later this year.
