Let down by iPhones, Taylor Swift’s fans enchanted by Galaxy S23 Ultra

In case you haven't been on any social media network in the past few months, you'll be well aware that Taylor Swift has been on her Eras tour. Fans know All Too Well how hard it has been to find tickets. The incredible demand has driven prices in the ticket reselling markets to extreme highs and yet her loyal fans sell out every single venue with thousands simply standing outside where she's playing to soak in the atmosphere.

It would really have been a Cruel Summer for the loyal fans that couldn't score tickets to a show. With the exception of those that could afford the really expensive tickets that offered great views of the artist up close, most would've been happy to get a seat right up in the nosebleeds, where the performers would look like tiny specks from afar, so they couldn't really see her with their own eyes. Yes, every venue has giant screens with a live video feed of the performances, but that hardly satisfies fans.

So the next best thing is to take out your phone, zoom in and start recording a video. It's not just to capture the memory of you being there in the moment but also to get a better look at your favorite artist through something you control. Not all phones will be able to rise to the occasion at these times. They need to be great at capturing video in low-light environments and must have exceptional zoom capabilities so that the video doesn't look super grainy and pixelated.

Now a lot of her fans may have a Love Story with iPhones that's still going strong, but many of them are now finding out that there's an even better option, one that lets them tell their favorite artist that I Can See You, even if I'm in the most undesirable section of this arena.

Countless videos have been posted on social media, particularly TikTok, with millions of views where concertgoers have become Enchanted by the zoom capabilities of the Galaxy S23 Ultra in comparison to the iPhone. It's like not even in their Wildest Dreams did they ever think that zoom capabilities like this could exist on a smartphone.

The following video highlights this perfectly. This fan, a self-proclaimed “Apple girly,” rented a Galaxy S23 Ultra just so she could capture great videos of Taylor Swift from afar. The video not only shows you the difference in the video quality but also the audio. That's Samsung's Zoom-in Mic feature, which uses the rear-facing microphone to increase the sound of the subject that the user zooms in on. What's more surprising is that Samsung introduced this feature with the Galaxy Note 10 in 2019 and yet zoomed-in videos on iPhones still don't sound as good as they do on a Samsung phone.

@taytaymichay I’m truly an Apple girly for life but rented the S23 Ultra for Eras and I’m so glad I did! #tstherastour #erastour #taylorswift #swifttok #swiftie #theerastour #tstheerastourhouston #taylornation #taylorsversion ♬ original sound

Guy's wife borrowed his Galaxy S23 Ultra for the concert and it's just mind-boggling how the device was able to give her such a close-up of the artist in low-light conditions. She ended up using the Ultra more throughout the concert instead of hers simply because it was allowing her to capture far better photos and videos.

@imparkerburton My wife took my 23 Ultra to the Taylor Swift concert #tech #techtok #samsung #android #s23ultra #imparkerburton #androidguy #techguy #taylorswift #erastour ♬ original sound – Parker Burton

Here's another example of someone sitting way up in the nosebleeds getting an exceptional close-up video in similarly challenging conditions for the camera:

User-generated content like this that shows you what the real-world performance of these devices actually is. Samsung could make countless ads and promotions to highlight the amazing cameras of the Galaxy S23 Ultra but the power that organic content like this has to convince people remains unmatched. As someone who attends concerts quite frequently, I can't imagine ever taking anything other than an Ultra with me. It's the perfect device for that environment.

You Belong With Me was likely the first thought of many of these Taylor Swift fans when they saw what the Galaxy S23 Ultra could do compared to their iPhone. Even the new iPhone 15 Pro Max isn't any better, Apple has already blown its chance to match the Galaxy S23 Ultra's zoom. I know it's a Delicate topic, but perhaps you should tell your iPhone that We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and buy the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
