Samsung has gradually been releasing the One UI 5 Watch update for existing smartwatches across the globe. In recent weeks, we've seen this update roll out in markets across Europe and Asia.
Today, Samsung has released One UI Watch 5 for the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro in the United States. Owners of the smartwatch will be happy that they're now getting the latest software update that brings with it a plethora of new features and functionalities.
Galaxy Watch 5 Pro gets One UI 5 Watch in the US
According to multiple reports, firmware version R925USQU1BWH3 is being rolled out for the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro LTE in the United States. This is the Wear OS 4-based One UI 5 Watch update for the device. It's going to be a chunky download size of several gigabytes since there's a lot that this update brings.
Among the improvements made by Wear OS are new tiles for the Galaxy Buds Controller that makes it easy to disable or enable 360 Audio, the ability to create folders in the app drawer, an easy way to add Tiles an watch faces, and more. A new tile has also been added that lets you quickly access the Timer, making it possible to have up to 20 timers active at the same time.
Workout tracking has been improved with this release as well with Samsung Health now being able to track cycling workouts automatically while also mapping the route. Personalized heart rate zones and guidance to users is also provided during workouts. All this, and much more, is part and parcel of One UI 5 Watch.
Galaxy Watch 5 Pro owners in the United States should have already received the update notification by now, and if not, it's only a matter of time before they do.
