When Samsung released the Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic last month, they were the first smartwatches to run Wear OS 4. They debuted with some new watch faces and one of those watch faces had a silly misspelling. April was misspelled as Arril, but that has now been fixed.
The Perpetual watch face, which was introduced with One UI 5 Watch, spelled April as Arril, and people made fun of Samsung for that spelling error. Now, the company has released an update to the Perpetual watch face, which fixes the spelling error. In the US, the Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy 6 Classic are getting the update with the following firmware versions:
Galaxy Watch 6
- 40mm: R935USQU1AWI1
- 44mm: R945USQU1AWI1
Galaxy Watch 6 Classic
- 43mm: R955USQU1AWI1
- 47mm: R965USQU1AWI1
To check for the update on your Galaxy Watch 6 series smartwatch, open the Galaxy Wearable app, navigate to Watch settings » Watch software update and tap Download and install. Alternatively, you can check for the new update directly from the smartwatch by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.
