Samsung has released the September 2023 security update to the Galaxy S21 FE in several countries worldwide. The new security update is currently rolling out in Asia, Europe, and North America. The Galaxy S21 series has already received the September 2023 security update.
Galaxy S21 FE gets September 2023 security update: What's new?
The latest software update for the Galaxy S21 FE comes with firmware versions G990BXXS6EWI1 (for SM-G990B) and G990B2XXS5EWI1 (for SM-G990B2) in Europe. In India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand, the smartphone is getting a new security update with firmware version G990EXXS7EWI3. In Canada, the update comes bearing firmware version G990WVLU8EWH5, while the firmware version of the new update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S21 FE is G990USQS9EWI1 in the US.

The US version of the Galaxy S21 FE is getting the update on AT&T, Comcast, Cricket, DISH, Metro PCS, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile's networks. The factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy S21 FE hasn't received the new update yet. The new update patches over 60 security flaws found in the smartphone.
