The Samsung Opera House in Bengaluru, India, is the Korean giant's flagship experience store in the country and was opened to the public back in 2018 to showcase the entire ecosystem of Samsung devices, including smartphones, televisions, and more.
And on September 24, Samsung celebrated the fifth anniversary of the Opera House, which also happens to be its biggest experience store in the world, with “an exhilarating K-Pop themed cultural event called K-Fiesta where young Samsung and K-Pop fans performed to bring alive the spirit of cross-cultural unity.”
Samsung held a number of events centered around Korean pop culture and gave fans a chance to win prizes by participating in singing and dance contests; there was also a trivia quiz and a games session, and a screening of an unnamed Korean movie. Samsung says the celebration brought alive the spirit of cross-cultural unity, but from the company's press release, it seems more like it was purely a celebration of Korean culture.
Samsung says it has held more than 1,000 events at the Opera House since 2018, including Ted Talks and movie screenings. The company has also used the venue for the launch of some of its flagships; it streamed the Galaxy S23 launch live at Opera House last year, which is an event SamMobile had the chance to attend. In addition to showcasing Samsung's products, Opera House also has a dedicated service center, where Galaxy smartphone users can choose skins for their phones and get covers with custom engravings.
