A few days ago, Samsung released the Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 update to the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. And we thought it would be the last major update for the affordable tablet. However, it is possible that it might get the Android 14-based One UI 6 update in the coming months.
Galaxy Tab A7 Lite might get Android 14-based One UI 6 update
It appears that Samsung is internally testing the Android 14 update for the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. A new software update with firmware version T225XXU4DWI4 is being tested internally by the South Korean firm. The tablet's latest software version available publicly is One UI 5.1.1, and it has firmware version T225XXU4CWI2.
When you look at the firmware version that's being tested, the fourth alphabet from the right side is D, which is newer than C in the current firmware. This points to a big update, and since there's no new software between One UI 5.1.1 and One UI 6.0, we believe that Samsung is testing Android 14-based One UI 6 on the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite.
One UI 6.0 features
It is possible that Samsung might release the Android 14-based One UI 6 update to the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite in the coming months. It brings a new design for the quick settings toggles area, improved stock apps, a new Share Sheet, new image editing features, and many more features. You can have a look at all the new features in our in-depth One UI 6 video below.
Thanks for the tip!
