Samsung announced the Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s in Malaysia two weeks ago today. They are among the most affordable phones announced this year. Weeks after their launch in Malaysia, a new report says the Galaxy A05 and A05s are closing in on their Indian debut.
According to a tipster cited by MySmartPrice, the Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s will be announced in India next week, between October 16 and 22. The source didn't have an exact day but said how much the two phones won't cost.
Assuming the information is accurate, the Galaxy A05 will be priced under INR 13,000 ($156), whereas the Galaxy A05s won't exceed the INR 15,000 ($180) mark.

Each phone has a single memory configuration
The Galaxy A05 and A05s should go on sale in India in a few color options, but each device has only one memory configuration.
Whether you buy the Galaxy A05 or A05s, you'll get 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. The prices mentioned above correspond to these memory options, and there won't be other configurations from which to choose.
Despite both phones having the same RAM and storage configuration, the Galaxy A05s has a higher resolution 6.7-inch display capable of a 90Hz refresh rate, and it's powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chip instead of the MediaTek Helio G85. It also sports a third camera — a 2MP macro shooter — on the back panel and a higher-resolution 13MP selfie sensor instead of an 8MP one.
Last but not least, the Galaxy A05s has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, whereas the A05 lacks this sensor altogether. All things considered, the Galaxy A05s seems like a better value proposition than the standard A05 if you can spare the extra $30. That is, assuming these leaked prices and availability details are indeed accurate. We'll keep you posted.
