This is an extremely useful feature to have, as unauthorized people can no longer see if you have any locked chat threads, and that improves the privacy of your communications. The ability to lock chat threads arrived a couple of years ago, and users also have the ability to chat the entire WhatsApp app on Android and iOS.
WhatsApp competes with iMessage, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Signal, and Telegram, but it has more features than all of them except for Telegram.
