A few weeks ago, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy SmartTag 2 alongside the Galaxy S23 FE and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE. While the Galaxy S23 FE and the Tab S9 FE were launched in India in the same week as their announcement, the Galaxy SmartTag 2 wasn't. The Galaxy SmartTag 2 is launching in India this week, though.
The Galaxy SmartTag 2 has been announced for India, and they're available in the country starting today. It is priced at INR 2,799 ($34) and is available in two colors: Black and White. You can purchase the Galaxy SmartTag 2 from Amazon.in, Samsung Online Store, and Samsung Exclusive Stores.
Galaxy SmartTag 2 features
The Galaxy SmartTag 2 features an overall compact design compared to the Galaxy SmartTag. It features Bluetooth 5.3 and UWB for a longer range and more accurate location tracking. The Galaxy SmartTag that was launched a couple of years ago lacked UWB. It has an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.
Samsung claims that the Galaxy SmartTag 2 has a 500-day battery life in normal mode. In the power-saving mode, it can last up to 700 days on a single charge. It is powered by a removable RS2032 coin-shaped battery. It has a Search Nearby feature and a Compass View for more accurate location visualization. It has a loud ringer for you to help find it.
The Galaxy SmartTag 2 also features Lost Mode that uses NFC. When it is in Lost Mode, which you can activate remotely, anyone with an NFC-equipped phone can tap the Galaxy SmartTag 2 to find your contact details so they can help you find the object location tracker.
