Here's some disappointing news if you have been impatiently waiting for the official Android 14 One UI 6 update to reach your Galaxy S23, S23+, or S23 Ultra even though others already have it on their phone: Samsung has revealed that the stable release of One UI 6 for Korean users will be delayed by a couple of weeks.
In Korea, the release could take “1-2 weeks at the earliest” according to one of Samsung's community moderators. And while Samsung expects to release the update in November, it isn't making any promises.
Will the delay affect you if you're not in Korea? Well, there's a good chance of that happening, as there are still many markets where the stable update hasn't been released, including countries like the USA, and Samsung has been testing newer builds of One UI for some of them, suggesting that development isn't fully complete.
For what it's worth, most users who have received the update already don't seem to have any major issues, including those of us here at SamMobile who are rocking a Galaxy S23/S23+/S23 Ultra. But One UI 6 is a pretty substantial update, so it's possible some problems still exist despite Samsung conducting a lengthy beta program to test the update.
Those who are still waiting for One UI 6 will have to continue to wait and hope that Samsung's 1-2 week delay estimate turns out to be an overestimation. We'll let you know if anything changes or new information comes up, so stay tuned.
