A new leak has revealed pretty much everything there is to know about the upcoming low-cost phone from Samsung, the Galaxy A25. New renders have also emerged through this leak, showcasing the phone in three color options: black, blue, and yellow. They may sound uninspired, but there's a twist.
For the most part, the Galaxy A25 follows Samsung's design language for 2023 but also brings a few unique characteristics of its own. First, the frame, which is otherwise entirely flat, has a rounded area near the physical buttons. It looks quite unusual for a Galaxy device.
Second, the phone has a flat back panel, like many other Galaxy devices released this year, however, it has an intricate dot matrix-like pattern. See for yourself in these renders:
The renders shared by WinFuture were also accompanied by a more comprehensive spec sheet. The Galaxy A25 has a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
Furthermore, the phone is equipped with the Exynos 1280 chip — which marks a switch from MediaTek to an in-house solution — and will be available with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. The phone runs Android 14 and One UI 6.0.

The Galaxy A25's camera configuration consists of a 50MP primary shooter with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 120-degree field of view, and a 2MP macro shooter.
The selfie sensor reportedly clocks in at a resolution of 13MP.
Other specs, price, and release date
Samsung's low-cost Galaxy A25 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging. Other characteristics include a USB-C port as well as a 3.5mm audio connector, NFC, dual-SIM support, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, expandable storage (up to 1TB), and Bluetooth 5.1.
As for availability, the Galaxy A25 will supposedly go on sale in Europe between December 7 and 19, possibly making it a hot item for the holiday shopping season. Some online retailers in Switzerland suggest the Galaxy A25 will cost at least 279 CHF, which translates to around €289.
