During the largest game exhibition in Korea, G-STAR 2023, which was held at BEXCO in Busan from the 16th to the 19th of November, Samsung installed over 500 Odyssey gaming monitors throughout the venue to provide an optimized and immersive gaming experience to the visitors. The G-STAR 2023 event was visited by over 200,000 people over four days and was attended by 1,037 domestic and foreign game companies from 42 participating countries.
As per the official blog, Samsung partnered with various gaming partners, such as Google Play, Netmarble, Wemade, and Smilegate, from across the globe to set up the Odyssey Experience Zone for visitors, where they can enjoy the three new gaming products released in 2023, i.e., the 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9, the 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9, and the 55-inch Odyssey Ark 2nd generation, all in one place.
The performance of the Odyssey monitors grabbed the massive attention of gamers at the event
The Odyssey Experience Zone at the G-STAR 2023 is a place where visitors experience Blizzard Entertainment's Overwatch 2, Kakao Games Eternal Return, and Sega's new game ENDLESS Dungeon on the new gaming monitors. Due to the large crowd of visitors, the average waiting time was more than 120 minutes. A visitor who played Eternal Return directly on the 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 said, “I was able to play smoothly because I was able to understand my various elements and various situations at a glance.”
At the Google Play booth, people enjoyed ‘cross-platform' gaming through the Odyssey gaming monitor, capturing the attention of gamers with games such as N.Fly's Infinite Stairs, Devsisters' new game Cookie Run: Tower of Adventure, and Hive IM's Become a Star 2: Knights of Veda on big screens.
