Yesterday's massive Galaxy Book 4 leak may have offered more than a preview of the upcoming laptops. They may have also revealed the wallpaper design language Samsung might be using for the Galaxy S24 and other phones set to go on sale in 2024.
Assuming the wallpapers shown in yesterday's Galaxy Book 4 renders are accurate, there's a high probability that similar shapes and designs will be used across other upcoming Galaxy phones and tablets, including the Galaxy S24, the Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
It wouldn't be the first time the Galaxy Book lineup shared the basic wallpaper design principle with Galaxy mobile devices. The Galaxy Book 3 series, which Samsung released at the beginning of 2023, featured wallpapers with spherical shapes. Similar designs were also used for the Galaxy S23 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 5, and the Galaxy Z Flip 5. See the example below, comparing the Galaxy Book 3 and Galaxy S23+.
If this trend repeats next year, and if these latest Galaxy Book 4 renders are precise, they might be hiding Samsung's wallpaper formula for 2024 in plain sight.
The age of cyberpunk-like wallpapers?
These Book 4 wallpapers give off a different vibe than the ones we've seen in 2023. They're based on sharp geometric shapes with metallic textures rather than soft, almost gas-like spheres.
But assuming that the design will carry over to more Galaxy devices next year, we're guessing Samsung will experiment with more color combinations and arrangements for these geometric shapes. Time will tell.
