Samsung has released the November 2023 security update to four more high-end smartphones in the Galaxy S21 family. The Galaxy S21 FE and the Galaxy S21 series have started getting the new security update in the US, specifically to the factory-unlocked models of the devices in the country.

Unlocked Galaxy S21, S21 FE get November 2023 security update in the US

The Galaxy S21 FE has received the November 2023 security update in the US for its unlocked model. The update comes bearing firmware version G990U1UES9EWK1 and is available on all carrier networks in the country. The update for the factory-unlocked models of the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra comes with firmware version G99xU1UES9EWK1, and it is available across all carriers in the US.

The November 2023 security patch that's included in the new update fixes over 65 vulnerabilities found in the previous software version. It is a minor update, which means it doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements.

To download the new security update on your unlocked Galaxy S21 or Galaxy S21 FE, open the Settings app and navigate to Software update » Download and install. Alternatively, if you have a PC running Windows OS and the Odin tool, you can flash the new firmware file manually after downloading it from our database.

If you are still rocking a Galaxy S21 FE, consider upgrading to the Galaxy S23 FE. You can find our review of that phone in the video below.
