In case you felt that Xbox didn't have a lot of nice horror games, you're in luck, because the new Hideo Kojima game is here to fill that game. This new title called ‘OD' had been leaked last year but it has now been officially unveiled at the Game Awards 2023.

It wouldn't be the Game Awards without some mention of Kojima, such has been his presence in the gaming industry. While details about the new Hideo Kojima game are slim at this point in time, there are some pretty big names attached to the project.

‘OD' is shaping to be quite the horror fest

There's going to be a cinematic element to this game, previously described as something “no one has ever experienced or seen before.” Kojima has collaborated with highly regarded comedian and horror director Jordan Peele on OD.

A 90-second trailer for the game has been revealed at the Game Awards 2023. It has some eerie closeups of the actors as they read dialogues and nursery rhymes in a manner that leaves no doubt that this is going to be a horror fest.

Kojima has said that some other big names are attached to this project as well but they've not all been revealed at this point in time. The cast revealed in the trailer includes Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and Udo Kier.

It's not known at this point in time when the new Hideo Kojima game is going to be released. It's already known that the title is being developed in partnership with Xbox Game Studios and relies heavily on Microsoft's cloud technology to deliver a unique experience.
