Along with the ViewFinity S9 S95UC, Samsung has launched a new monitor in the ViewFinity S6 lineup in Korea today, the S65TC. This one comes in a 34-inch display size and carries the model number LS34C650T. The company has priced the new monitor at KRW 90,00,00 (approximately USD 691) and the brand will open pre-orders for the new product soon. However, there’s no information about when that would happen. Samsung has also not revealed when it will launch the new model in other regions.
The ViewFinity S6 S65TC features a VA panel with a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels, which gives it an aspect ratio of 21:9, and 1000R curvature. The display features a maximum refresh rate of 100Hz and it also supports AMD FreeSync. According to the company, the panel has a typical brightness of 350 cd/m2. It supports HDR10 but doesn’t come with any certification. The monitor covers 115% of the sRGB color gamut.
The highlight of the S65TC is that it has two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, which is rare to find on monitors, especially in this price range. While one Thunderbolt 4 port offers 90W power output, which you can use for charging your laptop, the other puts out 15W power, which you can use for charging smaller devices, such as your smartphone.
Other connectivity options include 1x HDMI 2.0 port, 1x DisplayPort 1.2 port, 2x USB Type-A 3.0 ports, 1x USB Type-B port, 1x 3.5mm audio jack, and 1x LAN port. You don’t get any wireless connectivity options. The S65TC has a 100×100 VESA mount. It comes with a stand in the box that features height, tilt, and swivel adjustments.
