Samsung has released the Android 14 update to its rugged tablet, the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro. The update brings One UI 6.0 and all its new features and design changes to the rugged tablet. Android 14 is the second big Android OS update that the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro has received since its launch.

Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro gets Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update

The Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update for the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro is now available with firmware version T636BXXU4CWL5. It is a big update, likely crossing a download size of 2GB, and includes a newer security patch. We expect the new software update to be available in several countries over the next few days.

If you have a Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro, you can now check for the Android 14 update. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file once it is available in our database so that you can flash it manually should you wish to do so.

One UI 6.0 features for Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro

One UI 6.0 is based on Android 14, and it brings several new features and design improvements to the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro. Those new features include a brand-new Quick Panel layout with more toggles and neatly laid-out sections. There is also a new default font, new designs for all the emojis, and new styling and placement options for the lock screen clock widget.

There is also a new media player widget for the lock screen and the notifications area, and it has a waveform animation. All the stock apps have been updated with new features and simpler UI, including the stock Camera app. The built-in image editor now has more prominent controls, while the built-in video editor (now named Samsung Studio) supports drafts so you can save edits and continue them later.

Objects in images and videos can be clipped and saved as stickers in the Samsung Keyboard. There is a two-hand gesture to select multiple items and move them from one place to another. To check out all other features and design changes that One UI 6.0 brings, watch our in-depth video above.
