The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ have received what seem to be permanent price cuts in India. This comes less than two weeks before the Galaxy S24 series is set to go official, suggesting that Samsung wants to clear out some stock before it brings the newer flagship to market.
The Galaxy S23 and S23+ are now INR 10,000 cheaper in India. The price cut applies to both the 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB configurations. The 8GB+128GB S23 and S23+ now cost INR 64,999 and INR 84,999 respectively, while the 8GB+256GB variants are available for INR 69,999 and INR 94,999.

As for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, it continues to be as expensive as it was at launch: it is still priced at INR 1,24,999, INR 1,34,999, and INR 154,999 for the 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and 12GB+1TB configurations.
Should you buy the Galaxy S23 or S23+ so close to the launch of the Galaxy S24 and S24+? Conventional wisdom suggests you should wait. The Galaxy S24 series' pricing will be officially announced on January 17, and you can make a more thought out decision once you're armed with that information.
Other than the lower pricing, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 could be the biggest reason why some might want to pick up the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+. The Galaxy S24 and S24+ will be powered by Samsung's new Exynos 2400 chipset, and while this chip is coming a whole year after the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, only tests will tell us whether it's actually better.
