Despite being busy launching the Galaxy S24 worldwide, Samsung hasn't forgotten to roll out the latest security update to its smartphones and tablets. The Galaxy A73 is the new Samsung phone to receive the January 2024 security update, and the update is rolling out in European countries.
Galaxy A73 gets January 2024 security update, starting with Europe
The latest security update for the Galaxy A73 comes with firmware version A736BXXS6DXA1. It is available in Turkey right now, but we expect it to be released across Europe within the next few days. Other regions could soon follow. The update has a file size of under 500MB, so you can download it even using your cellular connection. The January 2024 security patch included in this update fixes around 75 security flaws that were discovered in the previous software.
If you have a Galaxy A73 and live in Europe, it is time to check for the new update for your smartphone. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the newest firmware file for your device from our firmware database and flash it manually using Odin and a computer running the Windows operating system. You need to back up all the important data before starting the process, though.
