Samsung is continuing to work on releasing the Android 14 update to its entry-level smartphones. Earlier today, the Android 14 update was released to the Galaxy A05s. The Android 14 update is now rolling out to the Galaxy A13 in the USA for factory-unlocked units. The carrier-locked units of the device received the update last week.
Factory-unlocked units of Galaxy A13 gets Android 14 update in the USA
The Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update for the factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy A13 has firmware version A135U1UEU6DXA2. The new software update also includes the December 2023 security patch instead of the latest February 2024 security patch. The update is now available in the US and is rolling out on several carrier networks, including Bluegrass Cellular, Comcast, C-Spire, DISH, Metro PCS, T-Mobile, and US Cellular. Other carriers could also release the update in a matter of days. It is a major software update with a download size exceeding 1.5GB, so make sure you download it using a Wi-Fi network.
If you own a factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy A13 and live in the US, you can now check for the Android 14 update by opening the Settings app on your device and navigating to Software update » Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually. However, you need to be well-versed in the manual firmware flashing process and need to have a computer running Windows OS and the Odin tool. Back up all your important personal data before flashing the firmware file manually.
The Galaxy A13 was launched in early 2022 with Android 12 onboard. The phone received the Android 13 update in early 2023 and is now getting the Android 14 update.
