Lately, there have been rumors that Microsoft is planning to launch Xbox-exclusive games on other platforms, which gave rise to the rumors that the company might exit the console market soon as the sales of Xbox will drop if there aren’t enough platform-exclusive titles. On the other hand, there have been rumors that Microsoft is planning to launch two gaming consoles by the end of 2026. So, it wasn’t clear if the company was planning to stay in the console marker or not, and if it was going to stay, there was no info about its plans. Well, Microsoft has made all those things clear in the latest Official Xbox Podcast.
In the podcast, the President of Xbox, Sarah Bond said “There’s some exciting stuff coming out in hardware that we’re going to share this holiday, and we’re also invested in the next generation roadmap, and what we’re really focused on there is delivering the largest technical leap you will have ever seen in a hardware generation, which makes it better for players and better for creators and the visions that they’re building”
Going by these statements, it is not only clear that Microsoft is not planning to exit the console market anytime soon but the company is also going to announce new hardware this holiday, and the upcoming hardware could offer a huge jump in performance compared to the existing console, the Xbox Series X. All in all, there’s a bright future for Xbox, and I’m sure that it must be very relieving for Xbox users. It’s also worth mentioning that in the podcast, Microsoft confirmed that it is releasing four Xbox-exclusive titles, Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded, on PlayStation and Nintendo soon.
