In mid-February, Samsung revealed a handful of new features for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro wireless earbuds. Among them is the addition of the highly-anticipated Auto Switch feature finally making its way to Galaxy Book laptops. At least the new Galaxy Book 4 series.
Samsung is now rolling out that update as we speak. The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro earbuds are getting the R510XXU0AXB4 update in Korea right now. On the face of it, it's a small 6.01MB update. However, it seems to include the long-awaited Auto Switch feature for Galaxy Book laptops. It's not entirely clear if the feature works only with the Galaxy Book 4 series or previous laptop models as well.

The Auto Switch feature allows users to connect the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro to Galaxy phones and tablets and seamlessly switch between the two sources. Up until now, this feature didn't work with Galaxy Book laptops, which seemed like an odd omission. People wanted it, and now, Samsung is finally making it happen.
The Galaxy Book 4 series went on sale Korea on January 2, but the new laptops hit the global market earlier this week. Just in time, this new firmware update for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is now rolling in Korea (via @kro_roe) and possibly other markets.
To check if this new update is available for your Galaxy Buds 2 Pro earbuds, open the Galaxy Wearable app on your mobile phone, access the earbuds, go to “Earbuds settings,” and tap “earbuds software update.”
