Samsung said last month that the One UI 6.1 update will start rolling out to select Galaxy devices in March. The anticipation for the update has been palpable since then, given the longer-than-usual time Samsung has taken to bring the latest version of One UI to supported devices.
But the wait ends tomorrow. Samsung has confirmed that the One UI 6.1 update will start rolling out globally on March 28!
One UI 6.1 will first come to the Galaxy S23, S23 FE, Fold 5, Flip 5, Tab S9
One UI 6.1 will first be released for flagship Galaxy smartphones and tablets launched in 2023, which include the Galaxy S23 series, the Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series.
From Circle to Search and summarization of texts and voice recordings to object manipulation in images and generative wallpapers, these devices will get the full Galaxy AI experience that Galaxy S24 owners have been enjoying since January.
There is also new functionality that doesn't take advantage of AI, though at least one major non-AI feature–full-screen wallpaper support for Always On Display–is not included.

When will other eligible Galaxy devices get One UI 6.1?
Samsung has not revealed when it plans to release One UI 6.1 to devices other than flagship phones and tablets from last year. We are hoping most eligible devices will start getting the update from April, and we will be sure to let you know once we have more information on the matter, so stay tuned.
